Brief of Program:
A grand Garba festival was organized for the B.Com and M.Com students of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College, Navgujarat Campus, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad.
On this occasion, the popular folk singer of Gujarat Shri Arvind Vegda was present as the chief guest. His arrival infused new energy into the entire program.
The Garba began with the aarti of Mataji and later folk singer Shri Arvind Vegda enchanted the students and faculty with his popular songs. Shri Arvind Vegda has been an alumni of this college. He considered the contribution he made in the college’s youth festival as important in shaping his career as a folk singer.
This Garba festival was enjoyed by the former and current students of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College.
The program in-charge was Dr. Janak Kavaiya and the entire program was guided by Prin Dr. N. D. Shah.
More than 350 students enthusiastically participated in this celebration. The students played Garba in traditional costumes and highlighted Gujarati culture and folklore.
