Brief of Program:
Students Union Council of the Prin MC Shah Commerce College hosted the institution’s annual function and prize distribution ceremony at the college campus on Friday – April 24.
Dr Heena Patel, Principal, MP Patel Arts College, Kadi and Shri Naresh Rathod, Private Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, remained present at the event as chief guests.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by Prof DB Bandhiya, chairman of the Students Union Council. Addressing students, Principal Dr ND Shah spoke about the importance of discipline, hard work and holistic development, and presented a report on the institution’s academic and cultural activities over the past year.
Awards were presented by Dr Margi Desai, Assistant Professor, to students delivering exceptional performance in academia, co-curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities. Students active in co-curricular initiatives and NSS were also felicitated.
During their address, the chief guests urged students to pursue high ideals. Dr Heena Patel especially highlighted the role of values alongside education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Sonal Thakar. The ceremony was marked by strong student participation.
