Vidyabhavan Trust began its journey with the launch of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College in 1963, with a clear maxim of ‘Earning with Learning’, aiming to promote livelihood and education. Established by Shri. M. C. Shah, the founder of Vidyabhavan Trust, the institute is affiliated with Gujarat University.
Rated as one of the revered commerce colleges in Ahmedabad, Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College offers Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) programme as well as Master of Commerce (M. Com) programme and has remained the centre of excellence for Commerce Education over five decades of its journey. The college is a grant-in-aid college affiliated with Gujarat University and is accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade in 2007 and B grade 2013.
Faculty members of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College are active members of important bodies of Gujarat University including Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, and the Board of Studies and play a vital role in shaping the future of higher education in the state.

This institute prides itself with 100% results in academics for several consecutive years. It is also the first college in Gujarat to launch the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) study-centre, which benefitted several students.
