Vidyabhavan Trust began its journey with the launch of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College in 1963, with a clear maxim of ‘Earning with Learning’, aiming to promote livelihood and education. Established by Shri MC Shah, the founder of Vidyabhavan Trust, the institute is affiliated with Gujarat University.
Rated as one of the revered Commerce Colleges in Ahmedabad, Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College offers a three-year Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) programme as well as two-year Master of Commerce (M. Com) program and has remained the centre of excellence for Commerce Education over five decades of its journey. The college is a grant-in-aid college affiliated with Gujarat University and is accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade in 2007 and B grade 2013.
Faculty members of Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College are active members of important bodies of Gujarat University including Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, and the Board of Studies and play a vital role in shaping the future of higher education in the state.

Courses Offered
Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College is affiliated to Gujarat University offering Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com. – Honors) with specialisation in Accountancy as a major subject and Statistics as a minor subject. Students who have completed 12th (10+2) are eligible to opt this course. The course helps students to develop various valuable skills like Accounting and Financial Management, Business Statistics, Business Law, Economics, and Communication as well as also equip students with Indian Knowledge System. These set of skills prepare students for the corporate world and offers numerous career paths.
The College offers Post Graduate Degree Course in Commerce (M. Com. in Advanced Accounting and Auditing) to students who wants to gain advance knowledge in Commerce, Accounting, Finance and Business Management. The Post Graduate in Commerce (M. Com.) helps students to stay strong and tall in the business world. M. Com Program helps students to strengthen their expertise in Accounting and Commerce subjects and provides base for teaching, research and allied administrative services.

The Navgujarat Group of Colleges founded under the aegis of Vidyabhavan Trust in 1964, have been at the forefront of providing higher education in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat for more than 60 years. Founded by noted educationist, Prin. M. C. Shah, a much-lauded pioneer of higher education and a revered visionary in the education sector, Vidyabhavan Trust, through Navgujarat Group of Colleges, has ensured that youth from all cross sections of society can access quality higher education, and through their learning and profession contribute to the betterment of human society.
